Friends with Kids (2012) <<< Click here for my review. It was quite delightful and funny for a romance/comedy movie. I enjoyed it. B
Twelve Monkeys (1995) – In a future world devastated by disease, Bruce Willis is sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of the human population on the planet. I quite enjoyed the concept of it and it’s a good interesting movie that makes you think too. Brad Pitt is also awesome in a role that I was not expecting from him. B
Prometheus (2012) <<< Click here for my review. The more I think about this movie the more I like it. So visually appealing too. B+
Blue Valentine (2010) - The thing I took out of this romance film is that Gosling is so amazingly diverse. Williams is not too shabby either and together they form a touching story of love and heartache. The way it switches between past and present is great to help us see how things have changed over time. Definitely worthy of it’s Oscar nomination although it didn’t get me emotional. B
Rock of Ages (2012) – With a star studded cast including Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bryan Cranston and Russell Brand, this movie is basically a rock version of Glee. It’s a musical and sadly it wasn’t my type of movie. With a thin plot and standard acting, it did it’s best to make the extra long runtime bearable, however the catchy 80′s songs can only do so much. Was waiting for this one to end. If you like Glee then this will be a good film I’m thinking. C

This week is a big week of new releases in Australia with The Cabin in the Woods, Rock of Ages, Take This Waltz, That’s My Boy, Margaret and Le Chef. Will be struggling to see them all (well, i’ll be skipping That’s My Boy for sure).

Cabin in the Woods is awesome, you should definetly see this one. Glad to read you like Prometheus more and more!
Seeing it tonight!!! Pretty excited. Thanks for the thoughts, I might see Prometheus again soon, liking it the more I think about it.
Glad you liked Blue Valentine, even if it didn’t provoke as emotional a reaction out of you as it did me… still nice that you acknowledged its impact.
Can’t wait to read your review of Cabin in the Woods… movie is effing nuts. Also, I’m jealous you get Margaret so soon… we have to wait another month. Enjoy!
I’m not sure if it’s my mood for the last fortnight, as neither Blue Valentine or Take This Waltz got any emotion out of me, when usually I’d be quick to tear up. Then again, perhaps nothing can top Benjamin Button in my mind now!
How much fun was Cabin! Margaret was only playing in one cinema in my state, luckily it’s pretty close to me. I didn’t really like it though, wouldn’t be too devastated you can’t see it yet haha.
