I had a quiet one this week only watching 3 movies, 2 of which I reviewed in The Hunger Games and The Raid. I also watched The Shining, a classic horror film from 1980.
The Hunger Games (2012) <<< Click here for my review. The blockbuster film of the week in terms of revenue, I thought it was solid. B-
The Raid (2012) <<< Click here for my review. This was one of the best films I have seen in a long time and I am keen to rewatch it again over the next month. So much action! A
The Shining (1980) – Starring Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance, this classic horror film has been one on my watchlist for a while. Jack and his family head to an isolated hotel for the winter, where an evil prescence influences him into violence. His son Danny (who is brilliantly played by Danny Lloyd, but never went on to do any other films) sees horrific events from the past and the future. This movie was definitely worth watching, and was very creepy indeed. Nicholson convinces us he is a normal person before turning into a maniac! B+

I had a really quiet week and will probably have another quiet one too this week with new releases of Mirror Mirror, Wrath of the Titans and Dr Seuss not exciting me.
