Another variety blockbuster week. I looked at new releases in Australia of Coriolanus and 21 Jump Street. I also managed to watch the romantic and emotional movie Like Crazy which is in Australian theaters still.
After watching Alien last week I watched Aliens this week too which was also great. Finally, I rewatched one of my 10 A+ movies in Superbad, a classic! Read on and give me your thoughts at the end too!

Coriolanus (2011) – I came into this movie only knowing it had Gerard Butler, Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) and a 94% Rottentomatoes score. This was a Shakespeare adaption for the modern time, and while it had an awesome first 25-30 minutes it ultimately slowed to a grinding halt. The acting was great, the storyline was decent but the ultimate ending was unsatisfactory for mine. C
21 Jump Street (2012) – <<< Click here for my review. This was a great comedy and well worth watching. B+
Like Crazy (2011) - Raw and emotional, this was a very romantic and emotional movie starring a lovely looking Felicity Jones about long distance relationships. I’m not sure if it’s more of a female orientated film but I loved it and felt the happenings were so believable. The ultimate end was devastating and unexpected for mine but also real. B+
Aliens (1986) - Put simply this was just as good as the original and I have a hard time splitting them. Sigourney Weaver was great, the directing was superb and I was glued to the screen even though it was quite a long movie. A-
Rewatched movies
Superbad (2007) - This movie is a classic and easily my funniest movie of all time. Hill, Cera and Plasse have great chemistry and are hilarious. This movie not only makes me laugh every time, but has a great storyline that flows well. A+

I love watching movies lately when I keep getting such quality ones like these! This week I will be seeing The Raid on Monday night and Hunger Games on Wednesday as well as whatever else I can fit in.

Superbad is probably my favourite comedy of all time, big call I know, but every time I watch it I laugh my ass off.
I’m glad Superbad is so universally loved, very rare for people not to like it it seems!
Just finished up watching Like Crazy, pretty surreal and what not…very fitting ending in my opinion.
Glad you liked it, I am still left a bit chilled with the ending as it’s so surreal. How devastating is the end!
