Taking a look at what new release movies are coming up in Australia this month. I’ve picked 5 movies to look out for over the next few weeks, a couple I am very excited about!

This Thursday (March 8 ) we see the release of John Carter, Disneys very expensive and highly talked about movie about John Carter of Earth. The initial reviews I’ve read aren’t that great but it will be one that has to be seen and judged for yourself. 132 minutes is very long though so I’m hoping it’s ok!
Also released is 50/50 which I would reccomend everyone sees if you get a chance as I had it at #23 in my Top 50 of 2011.

Probably the movie I’m most looking forward to this month is 21 Jump Street starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Hopefully the trailer doesn’t use up all the good gags but I had a chuckle at a good few of these.

A week later and The Hunger Games is released. Based on the popular book of the same name, it is Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television. 24 enter, 1 comes out. It sounds a bit gruesome and I’m keen to see how brutal it actually is.
Also released on the 22nd is The Raid, an Indonesian movie that from what I’ve heard puts all other action films to shame. Sounds promising!
Which movie of March are you most keen to see? There’s a whole bunch of others with Coriolanus, Headhunters and the new Ghost Rider as well. Personally I can’t wait to see 21 Jump Street!
